My name is Simona Veerhuis-Vannicelli.
I was born in Rome, city where I grew up and where I completed my studies.
In May 2007, after my graduation, I moved to the Netherlands, where I attended a
course for Dutch as a second language. I then moved together with my husband back
to Rome and in January 2011 we moved permanently back to the Netherlands, in a
small and lovely village called Wilnis.
I have a Bachelor’s degree in Translation and interpretation, and have been working as
a translator since 2005, both on a freelance basis and as an in-house specialist.
Before working for Booking.com, where I gained wide experience in the travel and
hospitality industry, I worked as a freelance translator for various clients. In October
2014 I decided to open my own activity and pursue my dream of dedicating completely
to my work as a freelance translator.
I am passionate about food, I like to think I am a good and quite creative cook and I
love Asian cusine.
What I offer is dedication and professionalism, together with accuracy and an eagle-
eye for details.
